HOUSTON – Middle Tennessee Baseball will play an elimination game later Saturday against Charlotte, after the 49ers took the first game of the Conference USA Championships semifinal Saturday morning, 12-9.
The Blue Raiders will have one more chance to reach the tournament final in the 4:00 p.m. matchup, with either Dallas Baptist or Western Kentucky awaiting in the C-USA Championship game Sunday.
Saturday's afternoon game will be shown on ESPN+. WGNS 101.9 FM / 1450 AM (Murfreesboro), WGNS 100.5 FM (Smyrna), GoBlueRaiders.com and the Varsity Network App will carry the radio broadcast.
In the morning cap, Charlotte opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with three runs, two of which came on a two-run home run.
