FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee battled a tough 36-hole day in windy conditions to post rounds of 299 and 304 to open play at the 2018 Mason Rudolph Championship in a tie for 11th. The tournament is being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course which is a par-71, 7,100-yard setup.
No. 46 Liberty leads the tournament at 2-over par with No. 7 Alabama in second at 4-over and host No. 4 Vanderbilt in third at 7-over.
Chip Thomas paced the way for the Blue Raiders on Friday with a pair of 74s.
