MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee softball (26-14, 6-7) took the lead early and never looked back, leading wire-to-wire to take Game 2 against Western Kentucky (23-16, 8-5) 4-2 in Conference USA play at Blue Raiders Softball Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second, after Shelby Sargent walked, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from Ansley Blevins, advanced to third on a wild pitch and came around to score on a two-out RBI infield single from Kamryn Carcich.
