MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee softball team was victorious in their third game of the fall on Thursday evening. The Blue Raiders defeated Cumberland University 15-0 in 8 1/3 innings of action. The teams were due to play 10 innings but the game was cut short due to heavy rainfall.
The Blue Raiders scored in every inning except the second behind strong pitching from , , and . The four combined for 12 strikeouts, six of which came from Westfall in the first three innings of action. The squad also gave up just two hits and only one walk.
