EL PASO, Texas – Middle Tennessee continued its outstanding season with a 48-32 road win against UTEP here Saturday, securing its seventh win and assuring a spot in a postseason bowl for a fourth-straight year under Head Coach Rick Stockstill.
The Blue Raiders (7-3, 6-1) remained atop the C-USA East Division standings by one-half game over FIU. They will step out of conference for a date at Kentucky next Saturday before facing West Division leader UAB in the regular-season finale at Floyd Stadium, Nov. 24.
Middle Tennessee put together a crisp offensive output with almost 500 yards total offense, and the defense had three takeaways to lead the all-around team triumph.
