MURFREESBORO – Athlon Sports recognized five Middle Tennessee players today in releasing its All-Conference USA team for 2020.
Safety Reed Blankenship, quarterback Asher O'Hara, lineman Robert Jones and Will Gilchrist, and linebacker DQ Thomas were all honored.
Blankenship was a first team pick after bringing home all-conference recognition as a sophomore and junior. He only played seven games in 2019 after suffering a season-ending injury at North Texas but still finished fourth on the team in tackles with 58 to go with two interceptions.
