MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team opened up the 2021 fall slate on Friday in the Dale Short Shootout, taking on the Lipscomb Bison.
"Guys looked solid today, lots to work on, but nice to get the first college matches under our belts," expressed head coach Jimmy Borendame. "Looking forward to tomorrow and Sunday."
The Blue Raiders earned a doubles win and swept the Bison in singles, taking all four matches.
Freshmen Mattia Bernardi and Lucas Olivier went down early 0-2 against Lipscomb, but the duo battled back to outscore the Bison 6-2 and secure the double win for the Blue Raiders, 6-4.
