CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee's hitters took out their recent frustration on Austin Peay as the Blue Raiders pounded out 19 hits in a 17-3 romp here Tuesday afternoon.

Bats that had been silent in recent weeks came to life as the Blue Raiders (18-31) completed the season sweep of Austin Peay (28-18), which had won three of four coming into the game.

Middle Tennessee scored early and often to shell-shock the Govs on the way to the Blue Raiders' highest-scoring output since hanging 19 against Western Illinois, Feb. 23, 2015. Middle Tennessee jumped on the Govs for three in the first, added six in the second and one in the third to set the early tone.
