MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After nearly a year and a half away from the Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium, an excited Middle Tennessee soccer team took the field against in-state foe Vanderbilt on Monday. It wasn't a banner night for the Blue Raiders as the Commodores won 4-0 in MTSU's final exhibition match of the season.
It was a tightly contested match in the first half, seeing both teams go into the locker room at halftime with a scoreless draw. Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, Vanderbilt netted a pair of goals just two minutes apart and would then go on to secure two more goals late to run away with this one.
