FORT MYERS, Fla. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis (0-2) drop a close contest to Florida Gulf Coast (2-0) 3-4 on Saturday.
FGCU finished last season ranked No. 71 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Eagles claimed the doubles portion on courts Nos. 1 and 2 to give FGCU the advantage heading into singles. Muskan Gupta and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt won their doubles match 6-4 on court No. 3.
In singles, MTSU would take two of the first three points. Sana Garakani tallied a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Colmenares.
