CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Middle Tennessee Baseball concluded the regular season Saturday at the Charlotte 49ers with a 5-2 defeat at Hayes Stadium.
With the loss, the Blue Raiders now know their seed and first opponent at next week's Conference USA Championships. As the No. 7-seed, MTSU will face No. 2-seed UTSA at Rice's Reckling Park on Wednesday.
Middle Tennessee concludes the regular season slate with a 25-27 record, and a 14-16 mark in C-USA.
Charlotte opened Saturday's series finale with a two-run home run in the first inning, and added to its cushion with a solo homer in the third.
