MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee softball battled back early, but couldn't continue to put together at bats, falling to Murray State 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon at Blue Raider Softball Field.
The Blue Raiders (24-11) fell behind three runs early in the first inning, but quickly responded, plating three runs in the bottom half off the Racers (22-14). Taking advantage of a lead-off walk and an error at first base, Echols came around the score. Amaya Harris, who hit the hot shot first base misplayed, scored one batter later on a Claire Czajkowski single, advancing to second on a throw home.
