MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee volleyball team (4-11, 0-3) dropped its Sunday afternoon contest to the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (8-9, 2-2) in straight sets in the Alumni Memorial Gym. Southern Miss. was able to take the contest in three frames despite Middle Tennessee taking the first set to extra points.

Senior Bailey Mason controlled the Blue Raider offense with 11 total kills in the match. Likewise, junior Dora Peonia (9) and Aubrie Huddleston (7) posted for a combined 13 kills.
From her setter position, junior Taylor Hammill turned in a nice performance, totaling 30 assists while controlling the Blue Raider defensive efforts with 15 digs in the three set contest.
