MOBILE, Ala. – Middle Tennessee baseball ended its weekend series with a 2-4 loss to South Alabama.
The Blue Raiders (4-9) saw another quality start from a starter in Peyton Wigginton. The senior southpaw allowed one earned run and struck out two over six innings in MT's seventh quality start of the season. South Alabama (8-2) extended its red-hot winning streak to seven games.
Six different MT hitters recorded a hit, including Brycen Thomas, who jacked a two-run shot in the eighth inning to cut the deficit in half.
Jackson Galloway followed the home run with a walk to bring the tying run to the plate, but the next three batters were set down.
