Blue Raiders drop pitchers duel to UT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– The Blue Raiders found themselves on the losing end of a pitchers' duel Wednesday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Middle Tennessee (4-4) made their first road trip of the season to face in-state rival Tennessee (9-0), but couldn't get in an offensive groove on their way to 2-0 loss.

"I thought Keenan pitched well," Head coach Jim Toman said. "But they did a good job of hitting with two strikes."

RHP Zach Keenan got the unexpected start but produced expected numbers. The sophomore went six innings, allowing just one unearned run in the first inning.
