MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Southern Miss was able to capture the series win against Middle Tennessee with a strong showing in the late innings to take an 11-3 win at Reese Smith Field Saturday.
The Eagles (28-13, 16-4) scored 10 runs after the fourth inning to break open a close game and secure the series win against the Blue Raiders (16-27, 9-11).
Three Blue Raiders, led by Brett Stratinsky, had multi-hit games. Stratinsky was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Blake Benefield was 2-for-4 with a one RBI and JT Mabry also added a two-hit game.
