SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Poise and resiliency were evident as Middle Tennessee overcame foul trouble and an injury to leading scorer to secure a 74-63 clutch road win at UTSA Saturday afternoon.
Edwards suffered an injury to her chin in the second quarter and had to receive stitches that kept her from the game until the fourth quarter. Edwards impacted the game upon her return as she scored 11 of her 14 in the final quarter.
It was a total team effort as led the way with 20 points and six assists with just one turnover.
