Blue Raiders Come Out on Top in Battle at Georgia State

ATLANTA – Middle Tennessee baseball showed its resiliency once again in its thrilling 9-7 road win against Georgia State Wednesday.

In a game that featured three lead changes, one tie and two weather delays, the Blue Raiders (23-19) used timely hitting and an impressive outing by Brycen Thomas to beat the Panthers (25-21).

Thomas threw 4.1 scoreless innings, struck out four and held GSU to three hits.

After the first pitch was delayed 20 minutes due to rain, Fausto Lopez started the early attack with a leadoff double in the first but the senior shortstop was stranded at second to end the inning.
