Blue Raiders bounce back in afternoon round

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee dug itself a hole early on day one of the Chattanooga Classic, but bounced back nicely in the afternoon round to land squarely in the middle of the 13-team field at 36-over par (316-296=612).

The Blue Raiders found themselves as far down the leaderboard as 12th place at times in the opening round, but dug deep and used the third best team round of the afternoon to climb back to seventh by the end of round two.

"We seemed to just be missing our shots in all the wrong places in the first round, short siding it where it made it hard for us to get up and down," Head Coach Chris Adams said.
