RUSTON, La. – Middle Tennessee softball (38-18) advanced to the Conference USA title game with wins over four-seed Florida Atlantic (35-20) and regular season champions Charlotte (33-21) at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field on Friday night.

The Blue Raiders started with another big first inning with two hits, both being triples, and one run on a sacrifice fly from Laura Mealer.
Shelby Echols led off the game with a three-bagger for her fifth of the year to tie teammate Shelby Sargent for the league lead.
