Murfreesboro, TENN. —Middle Tennessee's (8-8, 1-1 CUSA) women's tennis fell Saturday against former conference rival UAB (10-8, 0-1 AAC) 6-1 in the Blue Raiders' highly anticipated debut at the new Outdoor Tennis Complex on the corner of the MTSU campus.
UAB took the doubles point to begin the match by winning on the top two courts and won five straight in singles play to claim the win.
Ilaria Sposetti claimed her sixth singles win of the season for the Blue Raiders, winning on court two 6-1, 6-2 to begin singles play.
