Blackman's volleyball team defeated the Oakland Lady Patriots on the road in a highly competitive matchup that went to five games on Tuesday night.
The Lady Patriots took an early 4-1 lead in the first game after a kill by both Hannah Hassan and Jada Ballard.
Sade Korbieh scored two points and Delaney King had a kill that gave the Lady Blaze a 12-7 lead.
"We had to pull together as a team and just realize that we cannot do it all by ourselves and just noticing their weak spots and putting the ball where it needs to be," King said.
