MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the first time in program history, the Middle Tennessee softball team has a player in the pros. Senior outfielder Precious Birdsong declared for the American Softball Association draft earlier this spring and was drafted by moh-BEEL! USA in the sixth round with the 24th overall pick in the ASBA Draft Thursday afternoon.
"I am extremely happy and proud of Precious," said Head Coach Jeff Breeden. "She deserves to play at the highest level possible. I am positive she will excel in this new league and represent Middle Tennessee in a positive manner.
