DALLAS – Jestin Porter has been named the Conference USA Player of the Week for February 19, as announced by the conference office Monday. Porter averaged 33.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a pair of Middle Tennessee wins.
Porter set a Conference USA record Saturday by going 8-for-8 from 3-point range, the most 3-pointers without a miss in league history, as part of a 41-point performance in a double-overtime win over UTEP. Porter was 11-of-16 from the floor and 11-for-12 from the free throw line with seven rebounds and three assists against the Miners.
