MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – For the second time this season, Blue Raider sophomore Agnes Abu was named the Conference USA Female Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Abu clocked a personal-best time of 2:04.72 in the 800-meter run over the weekend at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. to finish as the second-place collegian.
The Ghana native's time ranks No. 10 in the country and second in C-USA, only behind teammate Abike Egbeniyi (2:04.47).
The honor marks the third time in Abu's career to gain Athlete of the Week accolades.
