WMU Michaels Selected to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

No. 13 Western Michigan's redshirt junior goalkeeper Elijah Michaels has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week.

In his first career start and complete game in goal, Michaels made five saves in Saturday's 1-0 win at home against Akron. The victory was WMU's first against the Zips since 2014.

Michaels was also named Mid-American Conference Co-Player of the week.

Michaels is the third Bronco to be named to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week this season, joining senior midfielder Brandon Bye and senior forward Jay McIntosh.

WMU's next game is at Northern Illinois on Friday, Oct.
