WESTERN MICHIGAN MEN WIN FACULTY ATHLETICS REPRESENTATIVE AWARD FOR THE FIFTH TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Cleveland, Ohio – Western Michigan University men’s athletics program has been named the winner of the 2016-17 Mid-American Conference Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Men’s Academic Achievement Award. The Broncos have won the award for the fifth time in program history and for the first time since the 2012-13 academic year.
The FAR Awards are designed to recognize the conference institution with the overall highest-grade point average (GPA) rank by gender.
The conference FAR’s worked with the Athletic Academic Advisors to compute an award that best represents the academic achievement of students in a competitive setting.
