WESTERN MICHIGAN WINS INSTITUTIONAL ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Western Michigan University has been named the winner of the 2019-20 Mid-American Conference Institutional Academic Achievement Award. Western Michigan posted an overall athletic grade point average (GPA) of 3.317 for the 2019-20 academic year based on 376 students in 16 sports.
This marks the second time for the Western Michigan athletic program to earn this prestigious honor and the first time since the 2016-17 academic year.
“Our student-athletes have continued to perform as champions,” said Western Michigan Director of Athletics Kathy Beauregard.
