CLEVELAND -- No. 6 seed Western Michigan stormed out with a dominating first half to advance with a 65-54 win over No. 3 seed Ball State in Quarterfinal action at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night. Western Michigan opened a 20-10 lead after the first quarter and increased the lead to 37-18 at the half.
The Broncos were paced by balanced scoring as four starters scored in double figures, including senior guard Najee Smith with 14 points, while junior guard Deja Wimby added 12 points in the win.
