AKRON, Ohio – Senior midfielder Joey Piatczyc tied the match with 13 seconds left in regulation and scored the game-winner three minutes into overtime to propel the West Virginia University men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory at Akron on Saturday night.
The Mountaineers (9-5-0, 2-0-0 Mid-American Conference) trailed 1-0 12 minutes into the second half, but responded with an offensive attack that resulted in the game-tying goal at 89:47, and the game-winner at 92:27.
