FORT WAYNE, Ind.- After day one of the 2018 MAC Men's Golf Championships, the host Ball State Cardinals hold a four stroke lead over the field of nine. The Cardinals turned in a team score of 595 (+19), after shooting two rounds at Sycamore Hills Golf Club.
Ball State was led by Michael VanDeventer, who finished the day as the leader after firing a two-round total of 141 (-3). VanDeventer is the only player in the entire field to finish the day in red figures.
