KANSAS CITY, Mo.— United Soccer Coaches announced on Monday the 2019 All-Region Teams for Division I Men's Soccer. The teams are selected through voting by member coaches in those respective divisions. Student-athletes earning First Team All-Region honors are now eligible to earn All-America status.
The Mid-American Conference was highlighted throughout the teams, tabbing seven athletes in the All-North Region Teams.
Bowling Green Goalkeeper Anthony Mwembia and SIUE Forward Jorge Gonzalez were both named to the first team after strong individual seasons.
Mwembia, a native of Toulouse, France, started all 21 matches for the Falcons this season, and had 63 saves, 11 shutouts and a goals-against average of just 0.
