AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron sophomore Sara Foster (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) captured the women's pentathlon title with a personal-best five-event cumulative score of 3,528 to headline the efforts of the Zips' men's and women's track and field teams at the 16th Annual Akron Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Stile Athletics Field House.
On the strength of a career-best time of 2:23.81 in the 800 meters, Foster catapulted herself into the victory in the pentathlon.
She placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.
