Toledo Rockets forward AJ Edu suffers ACL injury at FIBA U-19 World Cup

It is often said that nothing good happens during the college off-season, and today that appears to be true for the Toledo men’s basketball team. Sophomore forward AJ Edu has been confirmed as suffering an ACL, and meniscus tear in his right knee while participating for the Philippines in the FIBA Under 19 World Cup. Edu also reportedly has a hairline fracture of his right femur bone.

While no official timeline has been given, it is expected that Edu will miss the upcoming season for the Rockets.

Edu, a 6-10 sophomore who hails from Bristol, England, was an all-MAC freshman honoree last season after playing in all 33 contests.
