CLEVELAND, Ohio – Down the stretch Toledo freshman guard Mariella Santucci and senior forward Janice Monakana delivered the No. 6 seed Rockets a 67-63 win over No. 3 seed Kent State at the MAC Women's Basketball Quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 8 at the Quicken Loans Arena.
Santucci's three-pointer with 5:30 left gave the Rockets a 61-59 lead and her two free throws with 3:03 left added a two-point cushion with a 63-61 lead.
