Among the core values of the Mid-American Conference is a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity and we have embraced and promoted these principles. The member institutions’ faculty, staff, students and alumni represent a diverse group from an array of backgrounds, beliefs and perspectives. Current events point to the need for further efforts to confront intolerance and racism. Acts of violence are contrary to the principles of respect and inclusion. The Mid-American Conference joins with others in higher education to urge the nation to seek ways to foster understanding as we address issues of injustice, racism, and discrimination.
