Six MAC Students Named To Wuerffel Trophy Watch List

Wuerffel Trophy Announces Record Number of Nominations for 2016
MAC Recognized With Six Students Considered for College Football’s Top Community Service Award

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — The Wuerffel Trophy announces its list of nominees with a record number of 94 players from college football’s Football Bowl Subdivision being considered for the 2016 award. Representing the MAC are six students:

-Zach Guiser, Akron, junior, defensive back
-Jesse Kroll, Central Michigan, senior, wide receiver
-Cole Gardner, Eastern Michigan, senior, offensive line
-Nick Cuthbert, Kent State, senior, linebacker/defensive back
-Brad Spelman, Toledo, junior, linebacker
-Zach Terrell, Western Michigan, senior, quarterback

The Wuerffel Trophy, known as “College Football’s Premier Award for Community Service,” is presented annually by the All Sports Association in Fort Walton Beach.
