AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron men's soccer senior Nate Shultz (Mayfield, Ohio) garnered recognition for his play this past week for the Zips as College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer.com named him to their National Teams of the Week on Monday, Oct. 2.
Shultz helped Akron extend its unbeaten streak to six on the strength of registering a pair of goals to lead the Zips to victories over Michigan State and Saint Mary's.
In the Zips' 4-1 victory over No. 1 Michigan State on Wednesday, Sept. 27, Shultz recorded the first multi-goal effort of his career with two goals on his only shots of the game to spark Akron to the win.
