Oaklahoma City, OK -- Kent State redshirt freshman pitcher Andrea Scali has been named the USA Softball Collegiate Co-Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday (Feb. 26). It's the first national award in her brief career and it's the fifth straight season a Golden Flash has received national recognition. In both of weeks Kent State has played games, Scali has been named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week.
"It was a great weekend for us as a team, and I feel honored to receive an award like this.
