Reports: Kent State QB Nick Holley to undergo MRI, status unknown for game vs. Louisville

It’s a story well known to Kent State fans by now: promising prospect at a key offensive position is injured and possibly out for an extended time.

Indeed, that’s the case for quarterback Nick Holley, who is undergoing an MRI to survey potential damage to his knee after leaving Saturday’s game vs. Marshall with an injury in Kent State’s 24-0 loss to the Thundering Herd.

The news was reported by Elton Alexander of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

This is a potentially significant loss for Kent State, who is already missing backup QB Mylik Mitchell with a knee injury suffered in training camp.
