If you were a fan of high-scoring, fast-paced and competitive basketball, then Wednesday night’s tilt between the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Ball State Cardinals was the game for you.

Presley Hudson led the way with a program-high 43 points and five different Chippewas scored in double digits to help the Chippewas score their highest point total of the season in a 101-92 victory over the Cards.

The 101 points scored places tenth all-time on the record books, tying games against Northern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky in 1986.

Hudson broke Shonda Long’s previous single-game scoring record of 40 during the game and would go on to break the single-game scoring mark for both the women’s and men’s program in McGuirk Arena with her 43 points.
