Eastern Michigan's Zachary Owings, Baseball (Junior, 3.85, Management)
Junior Zachary Owings (Saline, Mich.-Saline) had a week to remember, leading the Eastern Michigan University baseball team in its two wins over the University of Northwestern Ohio (March 26) and Concordia University (Mich.) (March 27), respectively, before putting together a strong three games at Miami, March 29-31. During the five-game stretch, Owings compiled a .500 batting average, going 11-for-22 at the plate with four extra-base hits, and eight RBIs. In his best performance of the week, against Concordia, Owings blasted his first career grand slam, as part of a 3-for-4 hitting performance.
