MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State field hockey team fell to the Ohio Bobcats for the second time this season in a tough 2-1 loss Thursday afternoon.
The Bobcats (6-7, 3-0 MAC) scored first off a penalty corner in the sixth minute. When the clock struck zeros at the end of the first half, the teams made their way to their respective locker rooms. After confusion and discussion between coaches and officials, the teams were called back onto the field for an Ohio penalty shot due to a violation from the previous play.
