Men's Singles Player of the Week Oliver Valentinsson scored a pair of singles wins to help the Huskies remain unbeaten as they knocked off Marquette, 4-3, on Feb. 18 and Drake, 4-3, on Feb. 20. Playing at number five, Valentinsson began the weekend with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Tin Krstulovic of Marquette. The Malmo, Sweden native then rallied for a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Drake’s Markus Bolin to help the Huskies top the Bulldogs as NIU improved to 7-0 on the season. Individually, Valentinsson improved his singles record to 6-1 this spring.
