NCAA Baseball Tournament: Western Michigan grouped in Louisville Regional

After winning their first-ever MAC Championship, the Western Michigan Broncos (22-32) have been placed in the Louisville Regional for the NCAA Tournament Regionals round. The 16 regions include four teams each, and each Regional winner moves on to the Super Regionals.

WMU is the lowest-seeded MAC Tournament team to ever claim its title. 26 years without an NCAA Tournament appearance ended after the 7-seed Broncos beat 1-seed Kent State in a 12-7 contest. This, all after starting off the season with a 1-12 record.
