The skies were clear but the Kentucky sun was already showing it's teeth at the start of the game. Even the Indiana fans were sluggish during opening lineups.
Who could blame them considering the 12 inning marathon the night before? Ohio fans were loudly cheering, possibly motivated by late rally in their opening game. The start of the game mirrored the energy levels as the Bobcats retired the side at the top of the inning and scored 2 runs in their half.
The Hoosiers got a run of their own at the top of the second. After a scoreless third, the floodgates opened, and Indiana jumped to a 4-2 lead on a 3 run 4th.
