DETROIT, Mich. – The Miami RedHawks won the program's first MAC football championship since 2010 with a 26-21 win over Central Michigan in the 2019 Marathon MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field on Saturday afternoon.
Miami used four Sam Sloman field goals and wide receiver Jack Sorensen led with eight receptions for 123 yards receiving and one touchdown to lead the RedHawks victory.
Trailing 14-10 at the half, Miami used its first possession to regain the lead capped by a 31-yard touchdown pass from Brett Gabbert to wide receiver Jack Sorenson for the 17-14 lead at the 12:05 mark of the third quarter.
