DURHAM, N.C. - The Miami University field hockey team fell to No. 2 Duke in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by a score of 4-2. The RedHawks finish the season with a 12-9 overall record.
“I think our presence and our game was outstanding,” said head coach Inako Puzo. “We knew we were going to have to play defense for a long period of time, but we were ready for that. We were disciplined and we really have different faces, different ways to play defense during the entire game. I think that was making Duke’s job more complicated.
