FARMVILLE, Va. – The Lancers knew coming into the game they had a tough challenge in front of them in the form of a top-five opponent. Although they held their own in the match, ultimately Virginia's high powered offense proved too much.
The Longwood field hockey team was defeated by No. 5 Virginia, 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Elizabeth Burger Jackson Field.
