Jackson State brought a ton of energy in this game, but the Central Michigan Chippewas were able to weather the storm and defeat the visiting Tigers, 70-63 on Friday night inside McGuirk Arena. Central Michigan moves to 6-1 with the win, and Jackson State falls to 2-6 early on in the season.
David DiLeo led the way for CMU, as he scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds. Shawn Roundtree added 16 points of his own, also grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists. Cecil Williams added 11 points and four rebounds, and Gavin Peppers added nine points, as well as three rebounds and three assists for the Chippewa cause.
